Apple and Cranberry Relish

You Will Need:

Main Dish
  • 2 apples, peeled and grated on a coarse grater
  • ½ cup (50 g) dried cranberries
  • 1 orange, zest and juice
  • 1 cup (250 ml) red wine
  • a squeeze of fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) sugar

  • 2 apples, peeled and grated on a coarse grater
  • ½ cup (50 g) dried cranberries
  • 1 orange, zest and juice
  • 1 cup (250 ml) red wine
  • a squeeze of fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) sugar

Method:

Mix all the ingredients together and simmer without a lid, stirring from time to time until the mixture is glossy and thickened.

Serve on the side with chops.

Also excellent with roast chicken.
