Pizza with Bacon, Feta & Basil Pesto

This pizza is not for those sensitive to salt. Just replace the feta with more mozzarella, and the bacon with sandwich ham.

Ina’s Tip

If you have a pizza stone, preheat it to 220 °C for 20 minutes on the base of the oven. Top with pizza and turn the temperature down to 180 °C.

Method:

Adjust the oven rack to the middle position, and preheat the oven to 180 °C.

Pan-fry the bacon until just cooked, then set aside.

Spread them generously with the pasta sauce.

Top the bases with the grated mozzarella, fried bacon, and crumbled feta (if using).

Bake for 10 - 12 minutes or until golden.

Remove the pizzas from the oven.

Squeeze Basil Pesto from a cut corner of the pack.

Garnish with a few basil leaves (optional).

Portion and serve hot.
