Basic Pancakes

You Will Need:

Main Dish
  • 3 cups (750 ml) flour
  • ½ t (2,5 ml) salt
  • 2 t (10 ml) baking powder
  • 4 cups (1 litre) water
  • 2 T (30 ml) sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 T (15 ml) vinegar
  • 2 T (30 ml) oil
Cinnamon sugar
  • 1 cup (250 ml) sugar
  • 1 T (15 ml) cinnamon
Main Dish
  • 3 cups (750 ml) flour

  • 1 egg
  • 1 T (15 ml) vinegar
  • 2 T (30 ml) oil
Cinnamon sugar
  • 1 cup (250 ml) sugar
  • 1 T (15 ml) cinnamon

Method:

Sift the flour, salt and baking powder 2 or 3 times. Make a well in the flour mixture. Mix the water, sugar, egg, vinegar and oil. Add gradually to the flour mixture, stirring and beating continuously with a wooden spoon, electric beater or food processor. If you cannot remove all the lumps, rub the batter through a sieve. Store in the fridge and use as needed. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the cooked pancakes.
