Granadilla Cordial

A delicious, refreshing drink for any time of the day.
Granadilla Cordial

You Will Need:

Cordial Concentrate
  • ¾ cup (185 ml) sugar
  • 1½ cups (375 ml) water
  • ½ cup (125 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 t (5 ml) Ina Paarman's Seasoned Sea Salt
  • 1 cup (250 ml) fresh granadilla pulp, ± 8 - 9 granadillas
To Make Up
  • ice
  • sparkling water
  • mint sprigs to garnish
Cordial Concentrate
  • ¾ cup (185 ml) sugar
  • 1½ cups (375 ml) water
  • ½ cup (125 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 t (5 ml) Ina Paarman's Seasoned Sea Salt
  • 1 cup (250 ml) fresh granadilla pulp, ± 8 - 9 granadillas
To Make Up
  • ice
  • sparkling water
  • mint sprigs to garnish

Method:

Bring the sugar, water, lemon juice, and Seasoned Sea Salt to the boil while stirring to dissolve sugar.

Add granadilla pulp.

Boil open for ± 3 minutes.

Leave to cool and blot off any foam from the top with absorbent kitchen paper.

Pour into sterilized jars and cap.

Refrigerate.


To Serve

Shake or stir cordial to distribute granadilla pips evenly.

Pour generous tots of cordial into tall glasses.

Add ice, fill up with still or sparkling water.

Garnish with a sprig of mint.

Add a tot of gin or vodka.
