To Serve
  • 2 - 3 cups frozen oven chips, air-fried until golden
  • few tablespoons of chimichurri sauce
  • few slivers of pickled red onion
  • handful chives, snipped

Method:

Season the steak with salt and pepper.

Add oil to a skillet.

Over high heat, and when the pan is very hot, add the steak fat side down.

Fry on the fat side until the fat is rendered, then fry the steak on the cut sides.

Add half of the Flavour Bomb, and baste the steak until it's cooked to your liking.

Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest.

In the same pan, add the butter and garlic clove.

Sauté for a minute, then add the mushrooms.

Fry until the mushrooms are golden brown.

Add the remaining half of the Flavour Bomb and stir well.

Add the cream.

Simmer until thickened.

On a serving plate, arrange the freshly cooked oven chips.

Top the chips with the warm mushroom sauce.

Slice the rested steak and place it on top of the saucy chips.

Finish with dollops of chimichurri, red onion, and snipped chives.

Serve hot straight away.
